Roger Charles Sherry, a native of Staten Island, is a licensed Landscape Architect and Master Craftsman with over four decades of experience working with wood, steel and stone.  His studio in Charlottesville, Virginia is situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains where he designs and fabricates distinctive projects for interiors, gardens and landscapes, including master plans for private estates, restorations of National Historic Landmarks, and innovative projects for mountaintop residences, wineries and public parks.  Commissions have ranged in scale from armoires to arbors, belvederes to bridges, campaign tents to carriage barns and dining tables to dovecotes.  In 1994 he designed and constructed the White Garden Pavilion at Snug Harbor and in 2016 after working on restorations at Robbins Reef lighthouse, produced an Entry Arbor and Dining Tables and Benches for First Lady Michele Obama's White House Kitchen Garden.  He is currently engaged in fabricating a Moon Gate and Torii gate for the Chinese and Japanese gardens at the University of Virginia.
