James W. McCormack (1938-2011) graduated from the Columbia University School of Architecture and studied at the Art Students League of New York with prominent Abstract Expressionist Teodoros Stamos, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, the Art Students League in Woodstock, and the Art Lab.  For 50 years he worked for major architecture firms in New York and New Jersey.  He designed visionary private residences in Montauk, New York and Staten Island.  As a visual artist he exhibited his work at the World Trade Center, the National Arts Club, the McCormack Gallery, COAHSI, and St. John’s University.
