Grace Volpe is a native New Yorker and a self-taught artist who specializes in watercolors of nature and charcoal portraits.  She taught art for nearly 30 years at St. Joseph by the Sea High School in Annadale, where she also founded Catholic Action, a youth-based community charitable organization which offers aid to needy families throughout New York City.  In 2001, she created portraits of over 40 victims of the September 11th tragedy and presented them to their grieving families.  A member of the Salmagundi Club and the recipient of numerous art awards, Volpe continues to teach art and spearhead charitable causes.
