Emil Cadoo (1926-2002) was a Brooklyn-born photographer who emigrated to Paris in the 1960s.  There he worked as a photojournalist for the French magazine Realities, a photography-heavy magazine.  Cadoo famously photographed author James Baldwin as well as the final concert of renowned French singer Edith Piaf.  He is also known for his experimental multiple exposure works which often featured erotica.  Cadoo’s work is included in the collections of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Houston Museum of Fine Art.
