Ann Vaughan Leggett (1941-2014) was born in New York City and began studying drawing and painting as an early age.  Her mother, an accomplished illustrator, was her first teacher.  She went on to study at Sarah Lawrence College and the Art Students League where she studied with, and later apprenticed for, Frank Mason who taught at the League for over fifty years.  Leggett’s work has been presented in exhibitions throughout the United States including the Museum of the City of New York and National Arts Club in New York, the Block Island Historical Society in Rhode Island, and The C.G. Rein Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
