A graduate of Wagner and Richmond Colleges, Anthony Butera’s work includes oils, watercolors, monotypes, and photographs, and the subjects he prefers are architecture and street scenes.  He has been a plein air painter and a photographer for 35 years. Butera has exhibited his work at several Staten Island venues, including the Art Lab, the Wagner College Gallery, the Staten Island Botanical Garden, SIIAS, and Gallery 6, and he mounted a solo exhibition, Plein Air Paintings, at Mauro Graphics in 2005. In Manhattan he has shown his work at Michael Ingbar Gallery, Ward-Nasse Gallery, the Salmagundi Club, Associated American Artists, and the Barnes and Noble Cafe Gallery, and it is in the collection of several corporations, including Diamond Match Corporation, Salomon Brothers, Gateway National Bank, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, Staten Island Savings Band, and Richmond University Medical Center.
