A photojournalist with more than two decades of experience, Michael McWeeney specializes in travel, documentary, and corporate photography. Mostly self-taught, he studied photojournalism at Parson’s New School for Design and worked as a photographer at the Staten Island Advance. A long-time contributor to our auction and exhibitions, he captured the beauty of Salt Mountain in 2006, spent a night aboard a tugboat and recorded his experience for Tugboats Night and Day in 2008, and used 400 individual images to create a 270° panorama of New York Harbor from the lighthouse for Robbins Reef Lighthouse: A Home in the Harbor. McWeeney designed the museum’s website and continues to develop documentary projects. michaelmcweeney.nyc
