CASA FY19: Mural Unveiling

Three graduating fifth grade classes at PS 373 proudly unveiled the permanent murals they created this spring as the final project for a Cultural After-School Adventures (CASA) partnership between the Noble Maritime Collection and their school. This program was supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council and District 49 Councilwoman Debi Rose. The murals depict Robbins Reef Lighthouse and its heroic keeper, Kate Walker (1848-1931), and the statue of Captain Robert Richard Randall (c.1750-1801), founder of Sailors' Snug Harbor and PS 373's namesake.
