Caddell Dry Dock and Repair Company on Staten Island is one of the last
shipyards in New York Harbor. Caddell Dry Dock: 100 Years Harborside
features a history of the over 100-year-old firm including rare historic
photographs; a fully-illustrated explanation of dry docking; and an essay in
contemporary photographs. The publication is a part of the Noble Maritime Collection’s commitment to weaving the industrial harbor and its environmental and economic importance into the social fabric of the community.
