Photographer William E. Lyons works in his own darkroom using classical techniques and produces sliver gelatin prints. He moved to Staten Island in 2005 and is a staff photographer at the Staten Island Advance. Lyons has exhibited his photographs for more than 30 years, has won many awards, and had solo exhibitions at the Butler Institute of American Art, the Hoyt Institute, Westminster College Art, and the Chester County Art Association. He received the Gordon Parks Award and was selected as one of the 75 most influential artists in Chester County. His work has appeared in many publications, notably National Geographic, Best of Photojournalism, and Sunrust Magazine. This spring he staged a solo exhibition at Curatorium EB Fine Art gallery in Hudson, New York, and his work was included in the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio National Mid-year Exhibition.
