Kristi Pfister received the BFA from Barnard College, the Master of Art and Design Education at Pratt Institute, and studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League. With funding from the Percent for Arts Program, MTA Arts for Transit, the City Department of Parks and Recreation, the Staten Island Zoo, and the Staten Island Children's Museum, Pfister has designed and fabricated interior and exterior wall murals and mosaics in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Of late she has been painting on tiles and redware plates made by ceramicist Steve Nutt. She has received awards to support her work and exhibits throughout the region, most recently in a solo show at the Wagner College Gallery. Pfister teaches art at Staten Island Academy and is an adjunct instructor in the art department of Wagner College.
