With forty years of experience in historic restoration, William McMillen served as supervisor of 29 structures, which date from the 17th to the 20th century, at Historic Richmond Town. As a consultant and a practitioner, he has been involved in all aspects of the restoration, from research, planning, and architectural drawings to fine finish work. He is accomplished in all house building trades, including timber framing and fine cabinetmaking and has amassed library of primary and secondary materials pertaining to architecture and trades, a tinsmith tool collection, and a collection of early tools of various trades.
