Mary Rouncefield
Aquatint etching with chine-collé, 2009
Framing by the Noble Maritime Collection

Mary Rouncefield lives and works in the English city of Bristol. She holds the M.S. in Applied Statistics and taught mathematics and statistics for some years. Later, when she decided to re-train as an artist, she studied at the University of the West of England, and obtained the B.A. with honors in 2009. Intrigued by the story of the death of her grandmother’s younger brother on the Titanic, she decided to create a series of etchings in his memory. She has exhibited in Bristol at the Royal West of England Academy, the Printmakers’ Council in London, and the Manchester Science Festival. Examples of her work are in the University of Bristol Theatre Collection.
