A lifelong resident of New York City, George Hess is an architectural illustrator. He studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the School of Visual Arts and spent several years as a textile designer and stylist before moving on to a career in graphic design. He worked in many agencies designing books, magazines, corporate audio visuals, ads, and websites, and was a designer for the NYC Housing Authority for fifteen years. He has since started his own design firm, and along with his career in commercial art, he paints and enjoys participating in shows in the tri-state area.
