Robert Padovano
Icebreaker Tug, New York Harbor
Acrylic on canvas, 2012
Framing by the Noble Maritime Collection

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Robert Padovano is best known for his vibrant Impressionistic cityscapes.  His painting technique incorporates both Impressionist and Pointillist effects, and he often juxtaposes dabs of color side by side, which, when viewed at a distance, gives them a luminescent quality. Padovano's paintings are part of many collections, including those of US Congressmen, foreign dignitaries, and professional collectors. He has exhibited them at the Staten Island Museum, Newhouse Gallery, SHOW Gallery, E. Mayan Studio, and Gallery 364.  His work has been included in juried shows at the Salmagundi Club and the American Artists Professional League, and has been featured on cable television artists' spotlights.  He is also an award-winning graphic artist, and has received national and international design awards with work published in Print, Graphis, Creativity Annual, and American Corporate Identity.
