Peter Yuschak undertook no formal training as a photographer; a church bazaar-box camera and a Cannon AE1 were his teachers as he developed his natural talent to "see the shot.” Now he shoots with a digital camera, which allows him to capture one of his favorite subjects, the Statue of Liberty, at different times of day and in all sorts of weather. He has spent a lifetime rowing, sailing, adventuring, drawing, and cartooning in New York Harbor, and recently he received the first place award for his photo Torch and Moon, featured tonight, in New Jersey State Assemblyman Jon Bramnik's annual photo contest.
